100!

Tag: Funny, Videoshighena @ 5:56 pm

To celebrate the 100th post on Highena, here’s a clip of a guy doing a 100ft bungee jump. What’s so special about that? Well, the bungee chord is also 100ft long. Do the maths.

Insensitive

More than a quarter of a million people lost their lives in the 2004, Boxing Day tsunami. According to Reallyfunnypictures.co.uk tidal waves still make for funny pictures.

Which of the two red balls is the largest?

They’re both the same size. Don’t believe me? Go get a ruler.

Lip Balm Anonymous

The First Step Towards Solving the Problem is Admitting You Have One!

A growing problem amongst all ages groups and social classes is the addiction to lip balm. Thankfully, help can be found at Lip Balm Anonymous.

The site offers all kinds of information and advice on this debilitating addiction, as well as a 12 step recovery programme.

[I originally posted this in the "Hoaxes" category, but having read through the site a bit more it would seem that it may actually be genuine. First time I looked I didn't see this: Lip Balm Anonymous was rated #327 out of 505 in the new book 505 Unbelievably Stupid Web Pages. LBA is considering taking legal action against the author and publisher. In that case, LBA definitely gets moved to the "Weird" category.]

The Dull Men’s Club

With all the pressures these days of conforming to fashions and social ideals, the Dull Men’s Club offers a safe haven for men to escape and share their thoughts on the everyday mundane things.

The entire site is in grey, and is so dull that I’m actually running out of things to say about it already.

For example, they have a worldwide report on luggage carousels.

ALBANIA

Tirana [ ] — now has a carousel, and it goes counterclockwise [Thank you Tony Restall for this 9/1/2004 update]

ANGOLA

Benguela [ ] — none, local children offer to carry your bag

Soyo [ ] — none

ARGENTINA

Buenos Aires [EZE] — counterclockwise [Thank you Abel C. Rochwarger for this report]

ANTIGUA

V.C. Bird Airport [ ] — counterclockwise [thanks to Nicolas Willmott for this report]

You get the idea.

It is mildly funny, I suppose, in an excruciatingly bland kind of way.
